MKWC Community Foodsheds Program

In 2012, MKWC formed the Community Foodsheds Program to promote an abundant, healthy and continuous supply of food for our River communities.  In general, our community relies heavily on food from outside of our community. Our program focuses on reducing our dependence on outside food resources.

We address community food needs by building strong relationships, organizing peer-to-peer workshops, events and projects based on seasonal food activities, supporting ongoing initiatives in our community (farm to school, farmers markets), and providing technical support for building strong school, community and family gardens.

The goal of this site is to provide accurate, technical information for the Mid Klamath-Trinity region to support local food production.  We invite your feedback!   Tell us your suggestions on how we can improve this site and what information you would like to see!  Email us at
