Panamnik Building Remodel is Underway!

After more than a year of delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, plan approval by the County, and other unforeseen circumstances, KJ Construction of Willow Creek began tearing into the Panamnik Building in Orleans, CA this past October. An asbestos team was deployed to remove the old siding and the KJ Construction team arrived with tools, lumber, and building plans in tow. One of the first steps included the construction of a new inside wall to separate the new office space from the old. MKWC folks are continuing to work on the building during the construction so the new wall will also help buffer construction noise and dust from our office-dwellers. It’s a little loud and sometimes gets a little cold when the outdoor walls are down, but excitement is growing as the new space comes into being. The office part of the remodel, if all things go smoothly (fingers crossed), will be done spring 2023, at which point MKWC will move its offices over and remodel work on the new community space will begin!
