Listos California Supports Defensible Space Projects on the Klamath

The Mid Klamath Watershed Council’s Fire and Forestry Program, in partnership with the Salmon River Restoration Council and the Cultural Fire Management Council, is excited to announce the arrival of our Listos Trailer.

The trailer and funding for the tools inside was provided by the California Fire Safe Council. As we continue to increase the pace and scale of our fuels management projects we often find we are short on tools and personnel protective equipment for volunteers and community members. It is humbling to see our communities come together to do this work and we want to do what we can to support them. This trailer will be instrumental in the implementation of a variety of projects by providing hand tools, work wear, personal protective equipment, roadside safety equipment, and much more. We are excited to start organizing community based projects that will utilize this opportunity and better prepare us for the future.

Thank you to our partners and funders.

Funding for this project was provided by a grant from the California Volunteers/Listos through the California Fire Safe Council. The mission of the Listos California Preparedness Campaign is to provide communities with information about the importance of disaster readiness.
